Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your device. HexClaw does not upload your conversations, settings, or any personal data to our servers.

API Key Security

API keys are securely stored in your operating system's keychain (Keychain / Credential Manager). They are never saved in plain text in configuration files.

Network Communication

HexClaw only communicates with the AI API endpoints you configure. We do not send your data to third-party servers unless you have explicitly configured a corresponding AI provider.

Fully Offline Mode

When using local models such as Ollama, HexClaw can run completely offline. All data remains on your device.

Data Collection and Tracking

We do not collect user data, track user behavior, or serve ads. HexClaw is open-source software; you may audit the code at any time to verify these commitments.

Open Source and Transparency

HexClaw is released under the Apache-2.0 license. The full source code is available on GitHub for review. We welcome community participation in code audits and contributions.
